Now in its 37th year the River Festival and Rubber Duck Race attracts hundreds of families and brings people together for a day of relaxation, good food, vendors and great local music. The day is filled with music and dance performances along with demonstrations, cardboard canoe race's, one is a competition between local restaurants and the other is a build-off of groups attending the event who want to do something fun! There are dozens of vendors, non-profits and local organizations, water taxi rides along the River, a beer garden and the climax of the day is the annual Duck Race, where 5,000 rubber ducks are dropped, from a large paper Mache egg lifted high above the water, into the Raritan River to float through the finish line for some fabulous prizes.
