COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATION CLINICS IN NEW BRUNSWICK AND THE SURROUNDING AREA

Middlesex County's Department of Public Safety & Health and Office of Health Services offer COVID-19 testing for Middlesex County residents. COVID-19 tests performed at the Middlesex County Health Services sites are free for Middlesex County residents but require an appointment.

Testing days and locations vary on a weekly basis. Please check here for up-to-date information on dates, times, and locations.

Residents wishing to make an appointment should visit here to register and receive a time to report to the testing site.

If the resident wishing to be tested does not have access to the internet or has connectivity problems, they are instructed to call 732-745-3100 to make an appointment (beginning at 10 am). Appointments will start being made on the day indicated on the table above, and continue until appointment slots fill up, or 48 hours prior to the test date.

You Can Now Order FREE At-Home Covid-19 Tests

Residential households in the U.S. can place a total of two separate orders for free, at-home tests from USPS.com or COVIDtests.gov. Here’s what you need to know about your order:

• Limit of two orders per residential address
  
• One order includes 4 individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests
• Orders will ship free as tests are received from manufacturers

New Brunswick City Center has collaborated with the OTEC, New Labor, Rutgers Global Health Institute, and the New Jersey Department of Health to provide local and Free Covid-19 testing to City Center residents, students, senior citizens, business owners, and their staff.

Accula Rapid covid-19 PCR test, results in 30 minutes. or Abbott and Carestart rapid covid-19 test are covered by many, but not all, of the insurance plans that we currently accept, including Medicare. Unless otherwise medically necessary, patients insured will be required to pay 130$ for Rapid PCR or $65 for Rapid Antigen upfront fee to obtain the Test. If you are uninsured, upon signing an attestation, the federal government’s HRSA program will cover your cost for the outside lab PCR test and the result comes in 2-3 days.

If you have medical insurance, it fully covers the cost with no co-pay. If you don't have insurance, the CARES ACT covers testing with your Social Security Number.

You may receive a statement from your insurance company - an explanation of Benefits (EOB) - but it is not a bill and there is nothing to pay even if a balance is indicated.
