In honor of New Brunswick's 25th Tree Lighting, we invite you to the City Center for plenty of free community activities all throughout December! 

The celebration will kick off with the tree lighting on Friday, December 1st from 5 PM - 7 PM, featuring holiday music, live performances, a cook-off competition, a visit from Santa, a holiday market, and more!

On December 9th you'll be able to take photos with Santa at The United Methodist Church at New Brunswick between 11 AM - 3 PM. This event is sponsored in part by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital & RWJBarnabas Health.

Free horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered from the Hyatt Regency from Friday the 15th to Sunday the 17th. These rides start at 4 PM each day and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

This program is proudly supported by a grant from Investors Bank Investors Foundation.

Various organizations are running food and item donation drives: 

The City of New Brunswick Fire Department is looking for batteries, personal items, baby items, and canned goods through November 30th for their Disaster Relief Drive's next container shipment. Donations can be brought to 93 Joyce Kilmer Avenue.

Elijah's Promise and New Brunswick Corps are especially looking for winter clothing and canned goods through mid-December. 

Donations can be brought to 18 Nielson Street for Elijah's Promise and 287 Handy Street for New Brunswick Corps - both during standard business hours.

Middlesex County 4-H is accepting new toys, clothing, games, gift cards and other items for children ages infant to 18 through December 8th as part of their Project GIFT event. Donations can be dropped off at the Middlesex County Administration Building, 1st Floor, 75 Bayard St. in New Brunswick as well as at the County Extension office, located in Davidson Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Ave., South Brunswick.   

A Better Choice Empowerment Center (ABCEC) is currently collecting personal hygiene items for the residents of the Damon House in New Brunswick, NJ. This facility provides residential treatment for individuals suffering from substance abuse disorders. 

Finally, the New Year's Eve Fireworks will be launched from the rooftop of The Heldrich on Sunday, December 31st. Ring in the New Year in New Brunswick City Center!
