New Brunswick's Fall Festival

Funtober is here and New Brunswick's Fall Festival keeps the weekends alive with a variety of family fun & entertainment throughout the city center!

New Brunswick is in full force every fall with students and community members alike out for live shows, festivals, dining deals, concerts, art galleries, Rutgers athletics, comedy shows, theater performances, boutique shops, and so much more! 

Music & Health Weekend - September 29th - October 2nd

THURSDAY

• Come out for the James White Band from 6 PM - 10 PM at Delta's Restaurant, part of the Hub City Jazz Festival. Call for reservations at (732) 249-1551.

FRIDAY

• Make your way over to Perlé Lounge from 6 PM - 10 PM to see Valerie Adams & The Dimension Band as part of the Hub City Jazz Festival.
• Make your way out to Boyd Park for Caresparc's Sustainable Health & Wellness Village Festival - Senior Day! With giveaways, a list of health screenings and educational resources, food vendors, and live multi-cultural music, you will have an opportunity to better your health and have a great time!

SATURDAY

• We start off BIG with Rutgers Football taking on their Big Ten rivals, Ohio State beginning at 3:30 PM. Join us on George Street for Rutgers Football City-Wide Game Watch Party while you get to enjoy drink & dining specials outside of some of New Brunswick's favorite sports bars! 
• Come out once again to Boyd Park for Caresparc's Sustainable Health & Wellness Village Festival - Family Day! With giveaways, a list of health screenings and educational resources, food vendors, and live multi-cultural music, you will have an opportunity to better your health and have a great time!
• Find Jazz Around Town all day with multiple performances going on! Catch The Grace Little Band from 6 PM - 10 PM at Delta's Restaurant. The Curtis Lundy Trio from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM at The Frog & The Peach. Chris N' The Smooth Jazz Kats from 7 PM - 11 PM at Roosterspin. And the Aya Smooth Jazz Band from 7:30 PM - 11:30 PM at Christopher’s at The Heldrich!

SUNDAY

• Join us for the final day of the Hub City Jazz Festival with a special Main Stage lineup featuring Kirk Whalum, Pieces of a Dream, Jazz In Pink, and Bri Blvck! 

Parent & Family Weekend - October 6th - 9th

• Ark Ovrutski Quartet at Tavern On George from 7 PM - 10 PM. 
• John Crist at the Stress Factory Comedy Club beginning at 6:00 PM. 

FRIDAY

• Bring out the pups & furry friends as we host our Fall Yappy Hour at NBPAC (New Brunswick Performing Arts Center) offering specialty drinks, gift items for the pups, and music while you mingle with fellow dog owners. 
• Rutgers Scarlet Knights return for their Blackout Game at SHI Stadium beginning at 7 PM as they take on Nebraska! 
  

SATURDAY

• Follow Alice down the rabbit hole and enter a topsy-turvy world of adventure, intrigue, and impossible things at this immersive Alice in Wonderland event. Returning by popular demand, the streets of New Brunswick, NJ will be transforming into a giant, escape-room-style experience on Saturday, October 8th, 2022. Don’t be late!

SUNDAY

• New Brunswick's 4th Annual Oktoberfest returns! A must-attend festival for locals and tourists alike, come enjoy this FREE event. Festive German attire is highly recommended!

• The Price is Right Live! at the State Theatre New Jersey State Theatre New Jersey beginning at 8:00 PM. 

FRIDAY

• Three Dog Night at the State Theatre New Jersey beginning at 8:00 PM. 

SATURDAY

• Tracy Morgan - No Disrespect - at the State Theatre New Jersey beginning at 8:00 PM. 
• NBPAC presents Best of the Eagles, the most exact interpretation of the music of the Eagles in America, bar none, beginning at 8:00 PM.

Homecoming Weekend - October 20th - 23rd

THURSDAY

• Join us for our Third Thursdays Happy Hour at Destination Dogs! Grab yourself a dog from their delicious menu & drink specials, along with live music and good vibes from the New Brunswick community! 

FRIDAY

• NBPAC presents Frontiers The World's Number One Tribute to Journey beginning at 8:00 PM. 

SATURDAY

• Get excited for Rutgers Homecoming Game as the  Scarlet Knights kickoff at SHI Stadium beginning at 12 PM as they take on Indiana! 
• Soultown to Motown featuring The Sensational Soul Cruisers taking place at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center starting at 8:00 PM.

SUNDAY

Halloween Weekend - October 28th - 31st

FRIDAY

• DerpyCon 2022 returns to the Hyatt Regency of New Brunswick with a weekend full of video games, cosplay, costumes, card games, panels, voice actors, meet & greets, and so much more! 
• Hip Hop Fever at the State Theatre New Jersey beginning at 7:00 PM. 

SATURDAY

• Make your reservations at your favorite New Brunswick sports bar as New Brunswick's very own Rutgers Scarlet Knights take on Minnesota out in Minneapolis. Kickoff TBD. 
• Johnny Mathis: The Voice of Romance Tour at the State Theatre New Jersey beginning at 3:00 PM. 

SUNDAY

• Join Hub City Sounds they celebrate their annual Corazon Latino Festival & Día de Muertos with Trick or Treating around town for the kids, face-painting, balloon animals, and more!
• Jaws In Concert with New Jersey Symphony at the State Theatre New Jersey beginning at 3:00 PM.
