Dedicated to celebrating Juneteenth to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the US. FREE and Open to the Public.

Mural, Flag Raising & Commemoration & Block Party - Originally Friday, June 16th now Postponed to Monday, June 19th 
Monday, June 19th starting at 3:00 - 6:00 PM - Monument Square 

  • The Community Mural is being installed starting at 10 am until around 3 pm.
  • Tabling Organizations are welcome to load – in as early as 12pm and should be fully set up by 2:30 pm.
  • The County Flag Raising Ceremony starts at 3 pm in front of the Middlesex County Administration Building, located at 75 Bayard Street, New Brunswick.
  • We will proceed as a group across the street through the New Brunswick City Hall parking lot and the corridor between the Bloustein/Mason Gross and State Theatre New Jersey buildings to in front of the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center for the speakers, dance, and music performances starting at approximately 3:30 pm.
  • Complimentary refreshments will be shared (while supplies last).
  • The event should run until around 6 pm.

Parade

Saturday, June 17th promptly at 11:00 AM - George Street & Remsen Avenue (by the Tabernacle Church)

  • The Parade begins promptly at 11 am on the corner of Remsen Avenue and George Street (by the Tabernacle Church), and proceeds to Recreation Park, located at 7 Pine Street, New Brunswick. 

Festival - Tabling organizations are welcome to load – in as early as 10 am and should be set up by 12 pm.
Saturday, June 17th at 12:00 PM - Recreation Park (7 Pine St.)

  • There will be live music and dance performances, spoken word, bouncy house, giveaways, food, and nonfood vendors.
  • This event should run until around 4 pm.
