URGENT NEED-SUMMER SHORTAGE BLOOD & PLATELET DRIVE

Cancer patients need your help. The available supply of blood and platelets is extremely low during the summer months for cancer patients. It is important to remember that many people with cancer require blood products at some point during their treatment, and blood transfusions can act as a resource to implement platelets back into the body after heavy treatments such as chemo or radiation therapy.

All blood types are needed, but there is a particular shortage of type O and platelets.

Please make time to donate if you are able and share this information with your family and friends and ask them to donate at the August 3rd drive or at any collection facility convenient to them. Everyone can help spread the word regardless of your ability to personally donate blood.
