New Jersey Motion Picture & TV Commission adds New Brunswick to list of 'Film Ready Communities'

New Brunswick is officially Film Ready!

New Brunswick was among the 15 new Film Ready Communities (FRC's) to be announced by the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission on March 11. After a long effort by local leaders, organizations, and businesses, this marks an exciting new chapter for New Brunswick that opens several opportunities for our communities!

What is Film Ready?

Film Ready is a program that educates municipalities on motion picture and television production, standards, and practices to attract filmmakers, providing economic opportunities for participating communities. Film Ready compiles a database of FRC profiles that include photos, videos, and information about available amenities/local businesses that are useful to film and television sets and crews.

What does that mean for New Brunswick?

New Brunswick could be a film location or temporary home to a crew and cast in the near future!

If you own and/or manage a local business in New Brunswick, please email Michael Tublin at mtublin@cityofnewbrunswick.org. A strong Film Ready profile includes as many resources and amenities as possible, from places to lodge and eat to services like dry cleaning and hairstyling, and more!
