Reportit® is a private downloadable reporting app and website that allows users to send a report about something they observe in our city, most often regarding maintenance and safety issues of a non-emergent nature.
The app is free, simple to use, and conveniently supports many languages. Users answer a few questions, provide comments, and can attach a picture or video. The reports also include a map and GPS data for the location, along with date and time. Reports can be entered by smartphone, tablet, or online, and the notifier has the option of including a name or remaining anonymous.
Selected city personnel receive reports during business hours which are then forwarded to the associated department for handling. Some of the departments served will be Public Works, Inspections, Engineering, Parks, and the Mayor’s Office.
Those who choose to report an issue on a mobile device with the Reportit® app can do so within the city boundaries by easily opening the app and selecting “City of New Brunswick.” Download the Reportit® APP to get started. The system is also accessible without the app by simply visiting Reportit.com on your device or computer.
