Myles Johnson graduated from Long Beach (CA) Polytechnic High School in 2017 and is in his fourth season at Rutgers, as a redshirt junior. Myles prides himself as being unique, and as the Scarlet Knights' 6’-10” starting center, an honors student in RU’s engineering program, and fluent in Japanese, Myles is far from your average guy. Myles is busy all the time, with a booked calendar from morning to night, balancing division 1 basketball, engineering classes, community service events, and more.
As a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Myles traveled to Puerto Rico in the summer to benefit Soles4Souls, a global not-for-profit dedicated to fighting poverty. Myles was recently featured on Big Ten Network’s, The Journey and he has established BLKdev, an initiative to inspire minority youths to participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
