Because of the ongoing effects of the pandemic, the Excluded New Jerseyans Fund (ENJF) has extended its deadline to apply through Feb. 28.
Those excluded from federal pandemic stimulus payments and pandemic unemployment assistance can now apply without providing documentation of a COVID impact and can self-attest income if documentation is not available.
This program is open to undocumented individuals, residents returning from the justice system, and any other individuals otherwise excluded from pandemic-related financial help. Individuals with annual household incomes at or below $55,000, who live in New Jersey, are over 18 years of age and were excluded from pandemic-related help can also apply.
Eligible applicants will receive a benefit of up to $2,000 per individual and a max of $4,000 per household as a one-time, direct cash benefit.
Applicants must present documentation showing they were excluded from both the federal stimulus checks and COVID related unemployment assistance, have a household income that is at or below $55,000, as well as proof of identity and that they reside in New Jersey.
